Kevin Aliffanova Ardisa, S.Kom – Magister student at Engineering Physics, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia

During my research at the Research Center for Quantum Computing and Materials Informatics (QCMatics), I and other students have the opportunity to work with experts in the fields of quantum computing and materials informatics, and have access to state-of-the-art research resources and facilities. Students are mentored by experienced and expert supervisors in their fields. In addition, collaboration between students, researchers, and lecturers often leads to the creation of new ideas and innovative solutions to research problems. QCMI provides access to quantum computers, supercomputers, and materials laboratories. Students can use these facilities to conduct simulations, experiments, and data analysis needed for their research. QCMI offers a variety of research projects that are relevant to the latest developments in quantum computing and materials informatics. Students can get involved in these projects, which are not only relevant to their final project but also make a real contribution to the development of science. QCMI regularly holds trainings, workshops, and seminars covering topics such as quantum algorithms, materials simulation techniques, and data analysis. These activities help students to deepen their understanding and develop practical skills needed in research. Students are encouraged to publish their research results in scientific journals and present them at national and international conferences. This provides valuable experience in scientific communication and allows students to gain feedback from the wider research community. QCMI also provides support in students’ career development, including guidance in writing research proposals, preparation for job interviews, and networking opportunities with professionals in industry and academia, as well as for further study. The research experience at QCMI helps students not only complete their final project successfully but also prepares them for careers in quantum computing, materials informatics, and other related fields.
